LAHORE – Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Inam Ghani on Wednesday stated that Lahore police having a central place in Punjab police should undertake the usage of fashionable data know-how with a purpose to enhance its skilled duties, particularly the efficiency of the Investigation wing. “The provision of all necessary resources and facilities to the investigating officers should be ensured on priority basis”, he burdened. Inam Ghani stated that extra sources and services must be offered to the investigation police within the police stations with “high crime rate”, whereas competent and educated personnel must be deployed for investigation to scale back the stress of instances on the officers.
He burdened that shut liaison must be maintained with the involved companies together with the Home Department for revocation of firearms licenses issued by provincial or federal companies.

DIG Investigation stated that Intelligence-based operations and counter-insurgency operations can be made more practical, and added that particular groups had been already working to nab drug sellers, road criminals and people concerned in heinous crimes.
